2013.5 Chrysler 200 S Special Edition Coming This Summer

Chrysler recently announced that a special edition of the Chrysler 200 will be coming to dealerships this summer. They also announced that the current 200 model will be replaced by an all new next-generation model with a new Fiat engine, set to be released sometime in early 2014.

The Chrysler will be starting production on the 200 S Special Edition model sometime this spring. It's being called the 2013.5 Chrysler 200 since it won't hit dealerships until the summer. Only about 2,000 of these cars will be distributed and prices will start at $28,870.

While teaming up with Carhartt for this new model, the interior of the new Chrysler will feature Carhartt materials, trims, seats, and stitching that includes the brand's logo. Chrysler and Carhartt originally teamed up in November for an "Imported from Detroit" clothing line. The new sedan will also come will a more aggressive styling to the grill and rear wheels along with a new front and rear fascias.

The new 200 S Special Edition will be assembled at the Sterling Heights Assembly Plant. It will then be shipped to another center close by where Carhartt and Mopar accessories will be added.

The 2013.5 Chrysler 200 S Special Edition will be on display at the New York Auto Show starting March 27th.

McInerney's Woodhaven Chrysler Jeep Dodge is ready for the new Chrysler 200 Special Edition and looks forward to the next generation model set to be released next year.
